Switzerland has a strong social state and its health system is rated among the top ten in the world. Still, everything can go wrong in Cheesland too. Francesca Rüedi Cristofaro, a cancer patient, wrote to TV because of her difficult situation, a weird chain of kafquesques events highlighting incompetency and some cynicism by institutions and doctors. We told her story in a 25 minutes long TV investigative reporting.
Nel 2004, Francesca Rüedi Cristofaro ha donato la sua immagine alla Lega contro il cancro. La foto choc, diffusa in tutta la Svizzera la ritraeva senza una mammella, la testa resa calva dalla chemioterapia. “Volevo dare un volto al cancro. E fare coraggio alle donne”. Quattro anni dopo, il tumore é tornato. E nel frattempo, tutto quello che poteva andare male… é andato peggio. Francesca Rüedi Cristofaro ha scritto a Patti chiari per denunciare la sua storia, un incredibile caso di abbandono e malasanità in salsa svizzera che chiama in causa servizi sociali, medici, ospedali e assistenza domiciliare.
